Snow Day

I think she is pretty darn cute - and though she looks similar to Emma, she really is very distinct from her older, beautiful sister. Now, maybe this face will happen more from the hours of 10pm to 7 am...we can only hope and pray.
Grammy and Grampy bought this new container for all of Luke and Emma's toys. Container not so much as a jungle gym. Good idea though.
Thank goodness for Charlotte's web. I'm sick of Barney for the time being, so it has to be a new movie. But because of this, I got to prep dinner, nurse Lily and talk to Em on the phone. Pretty cool - even Barney can't do that for me anymore!
Lily hanging with me in the kitchen while I make dinner, safe and comfy. Notice the feet.

So - I don't like snow. The very first time it snowed 14 years ago when we moved here - that was cool. Now, not so much. However, I have to admit it is more fun now that Luke and Emma like to play in it (somewhat) - except, now with Lily, that doesn't get to happen as much. With all that said, today the road were bad and our tires on our van suck so I actually stayed home all day (shocker, I know). It is now 7:08 pm, the kids are all asleep (for now), dinner is made, and I'm waiting for Dave to get home. I'm exhausted - and really, beyond dinner I don't know what noticeable things I've done today. But I know I didn't take a nap or even watch tv...what did I do?
I didn't want to live in a town home but after this week, free lawn maintenance and snow removal sounds like a big plus since they get even more snow there. I guess I should really work hard on my attitude regarding snow...Dear Lord, change my attitude. Hopefully that will work.

Emma's pigtails, Lily's first smile, and bct (baby craft time)

This morning we decided to put Emma's hair in pigtails which is usually a lost cause because she won't keep anything in her hair. However, today, miraculously, she did!
Lily and I had a conversation this morning, it went like this, "Lily, Aunt Char is going to be here soon. You don't know her yet, but you will soon be obsessed with her like Luke and Emma." Shortly there after Char showed up, and of course, Lily gave her the first smile. So unfair!
Also, today was baby craft time. It was quite fun. You can see the finished product picture up there. Two outlines of Luke and Emma.
And the difference 60 years makes! I think Mom's hands look pretty darn good!
Here also, are the twins finally, FINALLY, loving on their new sister.
Anyway, just another day in the life of the Sharon's!

Emily

So, last week my friend Emily came and visited us all the way from Nebraska. It was so much fun having her here. She helped me with ALL my laundry, praise God, and helped me with the 3 kids. While she was here, we got Emma's bangs cut (against my better judgment!) Lily was dedicated, and Luke learned how to say please (against his better judgment!) Anyway, here are some pics from her week here.

Feeling good!!!

So today was the first day that I actually felt good. Yes, I'm on a steady diet of ibuprofen but hey, none the less, I can stand up straight and actually interact with my children finally. Anyway, here are some pics from our first good day.

Some more pics of Lily

So, Lily is now 3 weeks old and 3 days. And, I can safely say that it has been the hardest 3 weeks of my life. I won't go into the details, just because if you are checking out the blog you probably already know all about it. And, I'm sick of talking about it - so I'm sure you are all sick of hearing about it. Anyway, I think I can actually say that I'm getting better now - which is very exciting.
Needless to say, here are some pics of Lily...excuse the chest shot...take what you can get as far as posts go at this point. Post more later.
