Our day at the pumpkin patch

On Sunday, Dave and I took the babies up to Green Bluff to play with pumpkins. Really, I had no intention of them picking pumpkins - but I wanted to get the pix to prove we went...and made the family memory. While we were there we ran into some friends, Rebekah and Cory and their son Jordan (who Emma has a crush on) It was fun...

Our day at the corn maze

This weekend Aunt Char went with us to the corn maze. After a long - all the way to Washington and back trip - we ended up 10 minutes from home at the local corn maze...which we still had an issue finding! Two blonds in a car, without directions, not such a pretty sight! Anyway, here are some pix of the babies playing in the corn maze. They did really well! Me on the other hand had this image of us getting lost, me having to go to the bathroom horribly bad and being stuck in the maze at 8 o'clock in the dark with two tired babies...so despite my little panic attack, it was fun!

This morning as I was getting ready for the day, I heard Dave telling Luke and Emma "no" repeatedly. Usually, it pertains to them climbing on to the table (see previous pics) but this time it had to do with toys. I walked downstairs, and saw that they were having fun with a new game where they pull out the fire place screen as much as possible with my baby proofing on there and stuff toys into the fire place. So, once Dave saw me, he said, "Melissa, take away their toys. They won't stop." And then he walked away! How not fair!!! Anyway, they continued doing it, so I took half of their toys away. They were so angry! But, with the half that were left, they continued playing their new game. So, I proceeded to take away the rest of their toys, except for the huge ones they couldn't fit down the small crack. I'm pretty sure they were angry with me until noon! Anyway, this afternoon, they decided to try to take some of their big toys and try to stick them in there! They weren't successful - even when Luke enlisted Emma to help him do his dirty work! So, the last pic you can see how upset Luke was that his game had been foiled!

Good morning (well, middle of the day) sleepy heads! Notice the border on the wall behind Emma. Luke discovered how to peel it off months ago (hence why his crib is now 2 feet away from the wall.) Emma learned recently how to do it...so soon, I need to just finish what they started and peel the rest of it off. I'm very disappointed, it was so cute!

This is Luke's new thing - he uses his hands to talk, as if to say, "don't you understand?" Also, both Emma and Luke are now posing for the camera. That didn't take too long! Emma loves the sippy cup - whether or not anything is in it, she will just carry it around forever.
And, if I do say so myself, isn't this the most adorable picture of a 16 month old little girl named Emma that you have ever seen in your entire life? I think so! I would say girl period, but since Lily is coming soon...I have to watch myself!
